Agree Me Like a Breath is set in a kind of alternate reality in which federal regulation of organ donation has become so strict that near people dice while pending transplants. Penelope Landlow is kept largely out of her family's concern, but believes that they are helping people who would otherwise die while on the transplant listing. I found the plot of Agree Me Like a Jiff riveting. There were a couple of twists that I did see coming, simply Schmidt's writing was so brilliant that I read compulsively anyway. My only complaint was a coincidence that drove a major plot point, but even that did keep me guessing (in a "How tin this be? Is this not what I recall?" sort of way).
Hold Me Similar a Breath besides includes elements of love and longing, catchy things when you tin't fifty-fifty exist touched without bruising. I remember that the darker elements of the book (secret organ transplant clinics and violent murders) volition brand Concur Me Similar a Jiff work fifty-fifty for those who might normally shy away from romantic elements. There is a grapheme with Downs Syndrome who plays a minor role, and who I hope we'll see once again, in a more than significant role, in the next book.
Schmidt's writing is filled with suspense, and digs into all of the senses, like this:

I think that Hold Me Like a Jiff is a fabulous addition to suspenseful, action-packed young adult literature. Due to some of the details around the organ donation restrictions and technology, I think information technology falls under the imprint of speculative fiction, simply just barely. My only regret is that I read this ane then early (about 4 months before the book'south release date), because this means that information technology will exist a long time until the next book is available. I may even want to read this one again at that time, though I do expect the details of Hold Me Like a Breath to stay with me. Highly recommended!

My only regret is that I read this one so early on (almost four months earlier the volume's release appointment), because this means that information technology volition be a long time until the side by side book is available. I may even want to read this one over again at that time, though I do look the details of Hold Me Like a Jiff to stay with me. Highly recommended!
